Woke up early morning at abt 9am, prepared myself to get out to meet charles, his gf Huiwen and Wili at Bedok. I was running late, then quickly got out of the house and walked double pace to MRT. Called wili to ask where she was, realised she was also late, so agreed that she will hop on the MRT to meet me. In the end she played hide and seek with me, nvr hop on, said I did not confirm with her which train. OMG.. In the end, I dropped off next station to wait for her. Oh man, gotta wait another 6mins. Train came and I hopped on to meet her.. bickered with her a while. hahaha...
Reached bedok MRT station, was about 30mins late. Charles and huiwen were already waiting there. Then we faster made our way to NTUC. Shopped for cooking stuff for our meals in bintan as the food there are expensive. After that, packed our lunch and took a cab to Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal.
Waited there for the ferry to arrive. Meanwhile, we took some pictures. Shopped around DFS, was told by the assistant that we are able to buy liquor when we are back if we stayed for 2 nights. Ferry arrived a bit late. Boarded the ferry, sat in the upper deck, started to stuff our hungry stomaches with packed lunch. The ferry would need slightly less than an hour to reach bintan. After lunch, the ferry was cruising into deep and choppy sea. Ferry was rocking harder, the 3 of them were feeling unwell. Shouldnt have taken lunch on the ferry. Finally we reached bintan!!
But still got to hop on the shuttle bus to Bintan Lagoon Resort.. Took about 10-15 mins to reach the resort. Charles went to check in while we waited. Another small bus ferried us to our bungalow. My god, it was damn big. 2 storey bungalow with 4 rooms at the top, a kitchen and a private buggy.
Unpacked our stuff then went out to look around in the private buggy. Came back bungalow to rest, prepare dinner and watch tv. The rest of them: Xinzhan, Jovan, Verina, Weijie, Eng Wah and Kokhui would be arriving around 9+pm. Wili and I drove the buggy to fetch them but the buggy is only for 4 adults. The staff helped to drive a bigger buggy to ferry them to the bungalow.
They were complaining about the ferry ride, so rocky that all of them vomitted and they were hungry. Started to snack on tibits. Decided to go to the lobby restaurant to have some pizzas. After that, went back to the bungalow to relax and rest. The rest were tired and decided to bath and sleep early. Jovan, wili and me stayed up to play big 2 till 4+am then decided to turn in.
Woke up early at 9am. Prepared breakfast and waited for all to wake up. Had breakfast then went to the leisure centre. They decided to play the ATV vehicle at $100/hr shared by 2 persons since we have 10 ppl there. The activities there are all expensive. The fun will start at 3.30pm. Went back to the bungalow to relax and prepared lunch.
Prepared for the fun, everyone was excited. The instructor taught us how to drive the ATV. Soon we are all qualified to start off. Turn on the engines! I paired with verina, wili with jovan, xinzhan with kokhui, charles with huiwen and weijie with engwah. Off we went into the little forest. Verina drove 1st with me sitting besides. She was fierce lo, purposely drove over tree branches to get bumpy effect. Somemore initially she drove over some mud and the mud splashed onto my legs. Will get my revenge. Engwah was driving and stopping to let weijie to pick flowers. Our vehicle broke down shortly after a few mins drive. Luckily, there was technical support following behind. They provided us with another vehicle. There were quite many stoppages due to vehicle stuck in the sand and some other problems. Had to wait for everyone to follow closely. There were also 2 other ATVs with 4 ppl following us.
Stopped somewhere in an open area to take a break and some pictures. Time to change driver. My turn to disturb verina. haha.. Soon after we started off, one of the ATV of other ppl fell into a shallow hole. We got to help to bring the ATV up again before carrying on. Driver no license lo.. I also drove over tree branches to let verina feel the bumpy effect, do fast turns for more excitement. Also tried to slow down to widen the gap from the front ATV then sped to catch up with it again. The front ATV was a bit slow. Verina was disturbing me with her dirty black hands and made my right arm dirty. At the final stretch (which was the place where we entered with some mud area), I sped over mud and overtook 2 ATVs. Verina was complaining as the mud flew all over her, actually also not tat much lo. In the end, our ATV was the dirtiest. I told them that play this ATV should get dirty ma. hahaha..
Went back to bungalow to wash up then called for taxi to pick us to oleh oleh market to eat. Reached oleh oleh, ordered our food, shopped around but actually nothing much to buy. Food was also not so cheap. After dinner, shopped around again. Went to do tattoo on my arm, wili did one on her hand and the other on the leg. Waited for the free bus to fetch us back to resort. Back in our bungalow, then we all slack and watched tv. Everyone turned in early and prepared for the last day.
Woke up about 8+am. Watched tv. Went out to the beach with wili, then she wanted to surf. So accompanied her to learn. $15/hr for the surf board and $10/hr for the instructor. Instructor taught us the basics and out we go to the sea. Wili started off first, she was learning fast, could stand up a bit. After 3-5 tries, it was my turn. Was pretty hard to balance when lying on the board. Even harder to stand. Couldnt stand at all. Then changed over to wili's turn. While she was trying, i accidently hurt my knee again when a big wave came cos I jumped and landed unevenly. haiz. Limped back slowly to the beach to take a rest and asked wili to carry on. She was learning fast. Took the camera and wanted to take a video of her standing on the board but realised the video function spoilt, in the end, didn't managed to take any pictures of her standing on the board cos after that, she could not stand liao, so sorry. After tat, we took pictures with the surf board.
Went back to the bungalow to prepare for checkout. Checkout at about 12pm. We went to deposit our bags cos our ferry is at 6+pm. Went to the beach, some went massage, some sat down at the beach bar to relax. I went to lie on the beach chair and sun tan and rest. After tat, went beach bar to chat with them. When everyone back, we proceeded to the leisure centre. Charles and huiwen went to play wii. The guys went to play pool. The other 3 gers went to rest and sleep by the poolside. I went to sun tan by the pool side again. Was feeling hungry at 4+pm then went to ordered a sandwich to fill my stomach. Charles and huiwen also joined me. All gathered and we made our way back to the lobby to board the bus back to ferry terminal. Got to wait for the ferry so we went to the factory outlet besides to shop. I bought a versace jeans for about $30, not sure whether it is authentic. Board the ferry and made our way back to SG.
Stopped at DFS to get some beer and liquor. Then went outside to wait for the bus. Hopped on the bus to stop at bedok. Went to ate at the bedok market before making our way back. Shared a cab with wili and xinzhan. I reached home at about 11+pm. Faster packed up, checked mail and rushed to bed as still need to WORK the next day.. Back to reality!!
